Things aren’t going well for President Donald Trump’s former fixer and lawyer, Michael Cohen. That being said, Cohen doesn’t seem to be making things any better for himself.
As Cohen’s court fees continue to grow, he has now decided that the best way to get them paid is to sue President Trump.
Cohen and his legal team filed the lawsuit in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan. It claims that Trump’s business organization promised to pay for Cohen’s legal fees, but stopped roughly two months after Cohen’s home was raided by the FBI.
“Mr. Cohen has incurred millions of dollars in unreimbursed attorney’s fees and costs, plus additional indemnifiable amounts, and continues to incur attorneys’ fees and costs in connection with various ongoing investigations and litigation,” the complaint states.
The complaint also notes that the Trump Organization agreed to pay all fees starting in July 2017. Since the payments stopped last May, Cohen alleges that he has amassed $1.9 million in fines.
Cohen should have gotten some advice from Stormy Daniels or her lawyer Michael Avenatti before deciding to make his life worse with this blunder.
