Rep. Rashida Tlaib was unable to control her emotions while giving a speech on the House floor for a night organized by her close ally Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to discuss event which unfolded during the Captiol riot.
According to the Washington Examiner, Tlaib weeped and stated, “I asked to go last because this is so personal.”
Later on adding, “The trauma from just being here, existing as a Muslim, it is so hard. I ask my colleagues to please try not to dehumanize what’s happening. This is real.”
