After an unruly, pre-dawn arrest, Roger Stone has posted bail and proclaimed “I am innocent” from the charges levied against him by special counsel Robert Mueller.
Stone was released after posting a $250,000 bond. Addressing the gathered crowd as he left the courthouse, Stone referred to the investigation as a “two-year inquisition.” He then made clear to the gathered crowd that, “the charges relate in no way to Russian collusion, WikiLeaks collaboration or any other illegal act in connection with the 2016 campaign.”
Later speaking to Alex Jones, the host of InfoWars, Stone said “I am innocent.” He recounted how the charges brought against him are “politically motivated” and that Mueller’s prosecutors had “framed” him.
“The whole Russia investigation is a distraction from the real crimes of the Clintons and the Obamas,” Stone confided.
Stone also managed to lambast the loyalty of former lawyer Michael Cohen by declaring he would not turn on President Trump.
“There is no circumstance, whatsoever, under which I will bear false witness against the president,” Stone stated, adding, “I will not testify against the president.”
