Republicans are actively looking to replace Liz Cheney with a new female Republican Congresswoman. A report from Axios has revealed that Rep. Elise Stefanik, Ann Wagner, and Jackie Walorski have been mentioned during talks of replacing Cheney from her leadership positions.
Cheney has been causing quite a bit of controversy in the Republican Party starting when she voted for Trump’s impeachment. Now allies of House Leader Kevin McCarthy are reaffirming that Cheney will not be holding any of her positions by the end of the month.
An ally of McCarthy also said, “There is no way that Liz will be conference chair by month’s end. When there is a vote, it won’t be a long conference; it will be fast. Everyone knows the outcome.”
