She had to go back and correct herself.
The White House recently assured Americans that the United States did not have a gas shortage, but had to double back and stated that there was a gas shortage.
Jen Psaki brought in Dr. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall who said, “Right now, there is not a supply shortage.” Psaki herself also said, “at this point in time, I would just reiterate: We don’t see a supply issue.”
However, when North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper issued a state of emergency, the White House had to admit the truth.
A statement was sent to reporters reading, “We are monitoring supply shortages in parts of the Southeast and are evaluating every action the Administration can take to mitigate the impact as much as possible.”
