They aren’t playing around anymore…
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has given two sanctuary cities their final warning. Denver, Colorado, and New York City must cooperate and hand over the personal information of illegal immigrants who have been arrested due to a crime which were previously released rather than transferred to ICE as originally directed.
According to the Washington Examiner, “If they don’t comply, we’ll be working with DOJ to go to district court to force them to comply with the requirements,” ICE Director Matt Albence stated at a recent press conference.
“The individuals that fail to comply can be held in contempt,” he added. “They can show up to court with a toothbrush because they might not be going home that night. Because they could be jailed for failure to comply with a lawful order from a judge. That’s the route we’re going.” You can read the full details of this story here.
