It was never about football.
Disgraced NFL Quaterback Colin Kaepernick was just offered the chance to play in the XFL, a brand new pro football league, and his response is very typical.
According to Breitbart, XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck reached out to Kaepernick last year asking if he was interested in playing. Kaepernick demanded a $20 million salary knowing that even the highest paid XFL players only earn $500,000 per season.
“I think his salary demands are way out of our ballpark,” Luck stated. “He was never really a viable option.”
In the past XFL owner Vince McMahon said, “People don’t want social and political issues coming into play when they are trying to be entertained. We want someone who wants to take a knee to do their version of that on their personal time.” You can read the full details of this story here.
