Republican Senator Lindsey Graham recently made an appearance on Fox News where he discussed some very intriguing possibilities. Possibilities that don’t bode well for Democrats.
Graham shared how he perceived Attorney General William Barr to be “pretty upset” over how the Department of Justice handled its investigation of Hillary Clinton. Graham furthered admitted that Barr could designate a special counsel to investigate “[Department of Justice] corruption and political bias.”
“I know Bill Barr pretty well, and he’s pretty upset about the way all this was handled. I don’t know if he’s going to have a special prosecutor to look at the probability of criminal misbehavior.
I’m going to look at what happened from an oversight role. But I hope there’s a special counsel appointed to look at DOJ corruption and political bias,” Graham said.
Yet when asked if “an investigation into Hillary Clinton be reopened,” Graham stated that he wasn’t “worried about retying her” so much as confirming that “the public understands that she got away with something they wouldn’t get away with.”
“I just want the American public to know that the standards used against Clinton is an outlier,” the senator continued. “It’s not the way business is done.”
While Barr has not mentioned such an investigation, it would certainly be interesting to see where it could lead.
